| As part of the deployment of bras7.adl1 on Thursday, 9th of October, a new pool of customer IP addresses was introduced. Additionally, new pools were added to lns1.adl1 and lns2.adl1 to increase capacity. These IP addresses fall within the range of 115.166.0.0 through 115.166.63.255. These addresses act as a form of 'telephone number' for your computer while you use it to access the Internet. Customers connecting to bras7, lns1 or lns2, and being allocated these IP addresses may not be able to reach some websites successfully. This is most likely caused by the remote website operators not updating their acceptable IP address filter lists, despite announcements being made to many Internet operational mailing lists in October last year that this IP address range will begin to be used by ISPs. If you are having trouble reaching a given website, please contact the helpdesk with details of the issue, including addresses and any other details that may seem relevant. | |
